I fell in love right away. :’) I loved how beautifully the show depicted the storybook characters in real life and how it incorporated parallelisms between the fictional and “non-fictional” universes. It reminds me so much of the fairy tale characters I’ve grown to love as a child, and now the memory has been dug up from the grave and revived into this new and vibrant form. You see stories overlapping one another so organically and you start to wonder whether fairy tales were meant to be connected this way. Moving away from the conventional beginning-middle-end plot, OUaT tells its story in small, jumbled up jigsaw puzzles which when slowly put together, unveils a fairy tale beyond anything I’ve ever imagined. Well done, I am now a hooked fan!
